
The powder raw materials received in bags (50 kg/75kg) are unloaded into receiving hopper sieving machine (vibro sieve). The sieved raw material powders viz. Soda ash, STPP etc. are stored separately and weighed as per batch formulations for both blue and white colored powder. This operation is preferably done in separate building to avoid dusting in the working area. Also check on raw material consumption is controlled by making different weighed bags for each raw material.
The weighed batch quantity of powder is conveyed to the top of working platform for each process line.
The liquid raw materials (Acid slurry, colored water) are weighed separately in plastic containers and transferred to top of the working platform.
All these above operations are being carried out while previous batch for detergent powder is getting mixed in the Ribbon Blender Mixer.
When the Ribbon Blender Mixer is empty and bottom discharge door is closed, the raw material powder mix is charged into the mixer and mixer motor is started. While the powder is getting mixed, liquid raw materials are charged into the mixer. The reaction between soda ash and acid slurry takes place to form the active detergent powder. This operation takes between 10-15 min for completion.
The detergent powder is fed to Cage Mill. The cage mill is a sieving machine with fixed perforated screen with agitating blades to break the lumps of detergent powder (if any) and to pass the detergent powder through screen to have a uniform size of detergent powder.
The detergent powder passes to finished product holding silo by gravity from the cage. From the powder silos, different chutes feed the detergent powder to packing machines.
